What Do You Do When Your Child is Getting More "Naughty" Each Day

Dear Anyone,

I honestly don't know the answer to this so this is really a question I'd like to ask. Actually, for the lack of other adjectives, I have a very limited English vocabulary, I used "naughty". I'd like to describe my son's behavior as naughty in a funny way. Well, maybe it's funny now because he's still very young. He just turned 5 years old. Maybe it's just a phase for some kids. Most of the time I could not make myself get mad at him, you know, to be in a discipline mood time, because he's just too darn cute!  How Do I scold him without a smiling, heck, without laughing when he does those stuff he does.

This morning, my sister told me that, they were watching Disney Junior and then there was this advertisement about Dream Big Princess. Now I don't know what that is. It's been a while since I last watched Disney Junior (Yep, we used to watch from sun up to sun down. Babies ruled the house). In that commercial break, there was runner, a girl, and she went running. And then my son said, ia mixture of Waray and Engligh, something about how a girls upper body part bounces as she runs. He said, "'Yay, suso bouncing!" Now excuse me for the language but...Well...Uhm, just sorry for the language but those were the words, that came out of his cute little mouth and he was laughing, too. To translate, suso is a Waray also Tagalog of breasts. I asked my sister where he might got that idea but my sister kinda said, "I don't know, that's your son, haha!" Nobody in that room paid attention to the girl running since for crying out loud that is Disney Junior, basically for babies and toddlers, kids at heart, except my son! I don't know why my son thinks those things.

That is not the first time he observed intently how the breasts move when a woman jumps or dances or runs. The first instance was during their school practice for their Christmas party last year. When they arrived home, he declared to his Lola (Grandma) and Titas (aunts), and Lolo (Grandpa) heard, too, that his teacher was not wearing a bra (he was 4 years old that time). My mother, shocked, asked why he thought that. And he said, "because they were jumping." And I'm sorry but not one of them got angry, they went laughing so hard. That was their initial reaction to what my son, my little 4-year old boy just said. Oh, and then they knew why he was not that active and seemed not paying attention to the steps. It was because he was busy intently observing something else!

One more thing, he loves to kiss buts of ladies, yep, only ladies. He likes to smell them while holding to them for dear life, like a monkey, he does not let go fast. And he laughs and laughs while doing that.

I am not with him all the time since I am working overseas but that's another topic. He's a happy kid, naturally happy kid. He is very smart, delayed in terms of performance in school, but I see he's a very smart boy. He's got a brilliant mind. He's got a practical approach to things, I can see that already. My family taking care of him observes that, too.

I'm not that worried yet about this "naughty" behavior of him but I know that he has got to be corrected soon. Am I right? What do I do? How do I do it? He's only scared of his Lolo.

Yours Truly,
Miss Haluhalo
