Harkins+Theatres+-+Camelview+5

1. Gladiator

"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North,  General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."
                   Are you not entertained!?!

2. Black Hawk Down
"When I go home people'll ask me, "Hey Hoot, why do you do it man? What, you some kinda war junkie?" You know what I'll say? I won't say a goddamn word. Why? They won't understand. They won't understand why we do it. They won't understand that it's about the men next to you, and that's it. That's all it is." - Hoot

3. Armageddon
I really really think Michael Bay did a majorly amazing job in this one.  Armageddon blew my mind and I started dreaming about the galaxies and whatever is beyond our home-sweet-home Milky Way.
The actors were all just very outstanding and exceptionally talented.  Each movie character showed his or her very much entertaining individuality much to my gusto.
This is definitely one the finest movies I have seen in my entire life.

4. Titanic
I have seen this movie about a hundred times and every time I watch this I still feel its power over me with its music filling my soul and  the scenes capturing my every bit attention.
The day I fell in love head-over-heels is the day I watched Titanic.
I will never forget this movie.  I promise you, Jack...

5. Perfect Storm
All the testosterone and the muscles here and then the fishing and the boat, oh I just love real men!

Fishville

I went home to Northern Samar for Christmas Vacation and to spend the needed quality time with my son who is being taken cared of my parents and siblings there.  Sigh, this is my situation right now. My son in away from me but this is temporary, I promise. Anyway, I spent two weeks in Catarman and as usual we went to the White Beach a couple of times and enjoyed the cool sea breeze there.  My son and my niece really had fun playing on the sand. We saw some kids who were surfing the waves.  These were regular suki of the waves of the White Beach. The waves in this month and up to February are naturally big while in the summer it is almost serene specially in the mornings. Well, sometime during my by-far long vacation, we went to Fishville in the nearby town of Bobon, Northern Samar which I promised my sisters, the twins, so I could treat them there with their favorite food, the Spicy Chicken and Mango pizza and of course for a little fun trip with the f...

Icons and Heroes Defined

What does icon mean? The dictionary on my phone has five meanings of icon depending on the words' use.  Well here on my blog, an icon means none of that defined in my phone's dictionary and instead takes its modern definition from the wikipedia which says that an "icon" is  in the general sense of symbol — i.e. a name, face, picture, edifice or even a person readily recognized as having some well-known significance or embodying certain qualities: one thing, an image or depiction, that represents something else of greater significance through literal or figurative meaning, usually associated with religious, cultural, political, or economic standing. Ok, so it says symbol so I my dictionary had it right after all. What about heroes? Heroes is the plural form of hero. Kidding!  A hero or heroin for a female is again from my phone takes this meanings: Taking these meanings, icons and heroes are just synonymous with each other. Anyway...
