Must-Do Morning Rituals to Keep You Healthy and Happy

Wake Up early.  Early means from 5 am to 5:30 am.

Say a prayer of abundance.  This one is my favorite prayer to say every morning. It is the Novena to God’s Love by my mentor, Bro. Bo Sanchez, a Catholic Preacher.

Eat fruits. Eat at least two kinds of fruits in the morning. Eat your fruits before eating anything else. Eat them on an empty stomach. This is your breakfast. You break the fast with fruits. Fruits work like natural brooms.  Eat them up until your lunch.  Personally, since I easily get starved in the morning, I eat fruits first then I do some stretching to let my cup of hot milk cool down for little bit. I drink the milk at least an hour or two after I ate fruits. Mostly, I ate bananas and then I pair them with oranges or mangoes or pears or any fruit I can find in the fridge.

I mentioned that fruits should be eaten on empty stomach since fruits are easily and quickly digested if taken alone which means nutrients are easily absorbed by your body which is very important, of course. The simple sugars in the fruits need time to be completely absorbed by your body hence; at least an hour to two is needed prior to eating meals. Also, if you eat fruit close to a meal, especially right after a larger meal and combine with other foods, it is held in the stomach too long along with other foods and will rot and ferment in the gut which can upset your stomach.

Flex those joints. If full exercise cannot be done because you have to prioritize other activities like preparing food for your family and preparing to go to work, if you’re working, then just squeeze in some very quick stretching. Even just 5 or 10 minutes of stretching can help you a lot to maintain a healthy body, your youth and glow.

Fishville

I went home to Northern Samar for Christmas Vacation and to spend the needed quality time with my son who is being taken cared of my parents and siblings there.  Sigh, this is my situation right now. My son in away from me but this is temporary, I promise. Anyway, I spent two weeks in Catarman and as usual we went to the White Beach a couple of times and enjoyed the cool sea breeze there.  My son and my niece really had fun playing on the sand. We saw some kids who were surfing the waves.  These were regular suki of the waves of the White Beach. The waves in this month and up to February are naturally big while in the summer it is almost serene specially in the mornings. Well, sometime during my by-far long vacation, we went to Fishville in the nearby town of Bobon, Northern Samar which I promised my sisters, the twins, so I could treat them there with their favorite food, the Spicy Chicken and Mango pizza and of course for a little fun trip with the f...

Icons and Heroes Defined

What does icon mean? The dictionary on my phone has five meanings of icon depending on the words' use.  Well here on my blog, an icon means none of that defined in my phone's dictionary and instead takes its modern definition from the wikipedia which says that an "icon" is  in the general sense of symbol — i.e. a name, face, picture, edifice or even a person readily recognized as having some well-known significance or embodying certain qualities: one thing, an image or depiction, that represents something else of greater significance through literal or figurative meaning, usually associated with religious, cultural, political, or economic standing. Ok, so it says symbol so I my dictionary had it right after all. What about heroes? Heroes is the plural form of hero. Kidding!  A hero or heroin for a female is again from my phone takes this meanings: Taking these meanings, icons and heroes are just synonymous with each other. Anyway...
