Why Four Hours of Travel To and From Work is a Blessing

Another normal day today. Normal day to me is staying inside the house. Doing a few minutes of yoga in the morning...
Eating.
Taking a bath.
Cleaning the house.
Washing my clothes.
Doing facebook.
Calling my son and the rest of the family back in the Philippines.
Trying to do all the things I've listed in my To-do list for the day.
This last one takes a lot a discipline. Because, I end up watching movies online instead.

Funny because I always hoped I was not employee working for an employer, I mean that I should be my own boss in my own company so that I can do all the things that I need to do everyday.
All those target results the need to be achieved.
All the lessons and courses that need to be studied.
The blogs that I need to write.
The pages that I need to update.
The exercises that I need to do.

And then comes weekend. Then nothing. It's like I'm paralyzed and just sit forever browsing through facebook, youtube, instagram. I look at my blogs and I just look at them. I look at my schedule and I sigh. What happened to all the planning on the weekdays. While traveling to work for four hours in total! What happened to all the topics that popped out from my brain as I sit there on the bus. What happened to all the business ideas while I wait on my train. What happened to all the imaginations, the characters in my stories who make me cry, angry, scared, excited!

Come to think of it, I'm thankful that I've got a job. I use to hate having a job. I've wanted to be an entrepreneur for seven years now. But I really feel blessed that I have job. It puts food on the table. It pays the rent. It supports my son, my family. It enables me to continue my in investments. People dread the long travel time to work. But some people like me, yes like me, but only recently, kind of like that I have this four-hour travel time to work. You see in that four hours, I get to plan for my day. Business ideas flood my brain. And most importantly I get to read awesome Wealth Strategies from my Truly Rich Club mentors. Wealth Strategies are one of the most amazing articles for those people who want to become or who are already entrepreneurs.

Come to think of it, I am most productive on the weekdays! Haha! When I get home after work, I still get to exercise even just for 10 minutes and I get to call my son. I get to talk to God. I'm blessed for these routine weekdays.

I'm gonna have to upgrade my discipline and focus for my weekends.

Fishville

I went home to Northern Samar for Christmas Vacation and to spend the needed quality time with my son who is being taken cared of my parents and siblings there.  Sigh, this is my situation right now. My son in away from me but this is temporary, I promise. Anyway, I spent two weeks in Catarman and as usual we went to the White Beach a couple of times and enjoyed the cool sea breeze there.  My son and my niece really had fun playing on the sand. We saw some kids who were surfing the waves.  These were regular suki of the waves of the White Beach. The waves in this month and up to February are naturally big while in the summer it is almost serene specially in the mornings. Well, sometime during my by-far long vacation, we went to Fishville in the nearby town of Bobon, Northern Samar which I promised my sisters, the twins, so I could treat them there with their favorite food, the Spicy Chicken and Mango pizza and of course for a little fun trip with the f...

Icons and Heroes Defined

What does icon mean? The dictionary on my phone has five meanings of icon depending on the words' use.  Well here on my blog, an icon means none of that defined in my phone's dictionary and instead takes its modern definition from the wikipedia which says that an "icon" is  in the general sense of symbol — i.e. a name, face, picture, edifice or even a person readily recognized as having some well-known significance or embodying certain qualities: one thing, an image or depiction, that represents something else of greater significance through literal or figurative meaning, usually associated with religious, cultural, political, or economic standing. Ok, so it says symbol so I my dictionary had it right after all. What about heroes? Heroes is the plural form of hero. Kidding!  A hero or heroin for a female is again from my phone takes this meanings: Taking these meanings, icons and heroes are just synonymous with each other. Anyway...
