This One Had The Best Day Ever! In Tagaytay

"Hoooooorrrrssssseeeeee!!"

My son kept on saying that word out loud when he saw a real horse! Oh yes it was real and I didn't realize a horse had a smell which my almost-two-year-old son was oblivious about. He was just so excited and fascinated by the horses.

On Palm Sunday 2014, I thought to attend The Feast in PICC and also hear the Mass there but I got wind up watching an exciting fight of Pacquaio. Actually, I was surprised that I still found it fun to watch this new fight of the Pambansang Kamao after all the his recent fight performances... Anyway, we ran out of time to attend our regular sessions in PICC so I decided to just go the neighborhood for the Mass so off we went to Lourdes Church in Tagaytay, me, my son and my sister.

After the Mass in Lourdes Church where Oriel, that's my son, had his fair share of awesomely irritating usual stints (he wanted to join the basketball where kids 4 times his size were playing, he pulled live plants from its roots and put them away, he pulled me to go up and down and up and down and up and down the stairs of the church, he ran around, he opened closed the church windows, he cried out loud whenever I stopped him, wow, I love this baby), we rode a jeepney to take us to the Picnic Grove.  My sister said that there are horses there so we chose it.

As soon as Oriel saw the horses, he shrieked in excitement and couldn't make up whether to cry or laugh in disbelief that he was seeing a real live breathing beautiful horse in his entire life!   And in my entire life! Duh, it was my first time too and the other thing that was so amazing about them horses was there strong, very strong smell! Hehe.

Anyway, my sister and I tried to find food first since we felt very hungry but as soon as we moved away from the field, Oriel started wailing with tears flowing like the Niagara Falls.  So what could a good mother like me do? Well, I had to give him the best day of his life by far, among many many others to come in the future.

This post is for him as a souvenir of his Best Day yet...

Fishville

I went home to Northern Samar for Christmas Vacation and to spend the needed quality time with my son who is being taken cared of my parents and siblings there.  Sigh, this is my situation right now. My son in away from me but this is temporary, I promise. Anyway, I spent two weeks in Catarman and as usual we went to the White Beach a couple of times and enjoyed the cool sea breeze there.  My son and my niece really had fun playing on the sand. We saw some kids who were surfing the waves.  These were regular suki of the waves of the White Beach. The waves in this month and up to February are naturally big while in the summer it is almost serene specially in the mornings. Well, sometime during my by-far long vacation, we went to Fishville in the nearby town of Bobon, Northern Samar which I promised my sisters, the twins, so I could treat them there with their favorite food, the Spicy Chicken and Mango pizza and of course for a little fun trip with the f...

Icons and Heroes Defined

What does icon mean? The dictionary on my phone has five meanings of icon depending on the words' use.  Well here on my blog, an icon means none of that defined in my phone's dictionary and instead takes its modern definition from the wikipedia which says that an "icon" is  in the general sense of symbol — i.e. a name, face, picture, edifice or even a person readily recognized as having some well-known significance or embodying certain qualities: one thing, an image or depiction, that represents something else of greater significance through literal or figurative meaning, usually associated with religious, cultural, political, or economic standing. Ok, so it says symbol so I my dictionary had it right after all. What about heroes? Heroes is the plural form of hero. Kidding!  A hero or heroin for a female is again from my phone takes this meanings: Taking these meanings, icons and heroes are just synonymous with each other. Anyway...
